Triumph in Christ Church...

was started in the home of A. U. Femi, a farmer and the church's founding pastor. Eight years after receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, Pastor Femi answered the Lord's divine call to the ministry in his village, Ilesa. The church was started in Pastor Femi's home, and there others were converted and joined. Triumph in Christ Church is the only church in Ilesa. The church's founding was met with great opposition from village elders who tried to prevent the preaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ in Ilesa -- to the point of attempting to take the life of Pastor Femi. Through faith in the Word of God, such attempts failed.

Today the chuch has about 500 members. After witnessing the love within the church's fellowship and the church's care for orphans, many of the elders who opposed the church have relented in their opposition. Some have even been converted to Christ.
