First, I must thank the authors whose work inspired this story. Second, I must thank Jacques Gravett of the television show Battlestar Galactica. I met Mr. Gravett at the 2006 Jokara Film Festival in Colquitt, Georgia. He was the first person to hear my story, and after hearing it, encouraged me to write it down.

The characters used in this story are completely fictitious. However to pay tribute to some of my deceased ancestors, I pulled and scrambled names from my maternal family tree to use as character names. With the exception of one person, all of my ancestors whose names I used were deceased before I was born. Therefore I acknowledge my maternal grandmother, Beulah (also deceased), who told me of the persons whose names I used.
Finally, I must thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, for obvious reasons, but also because He often spoke in parables.
