a hill tribal community in India. It is one of the largest hill tribal communities in eastern gahatsof, the northeastern hill ranges of the state of Andhra Pradesh, and the Orissa border. The Saura population is about 200 thousand.
The Saura community is located in a region that is land locked - completely culturally, socialy and economically cut off - from the modern world. The Saura community is downtrodden, illiterate and worships evil spirits. Their religion is Animism and they practice sorcery and witchcraft. Men and women are always found intoxicated.
